Information about the general strike called for November 11, 2026.

The following is a summary of the main points to be taken into consideration.

Conduct of the strike (rules to be observed)

• The exercise of the right to strike involves the complete cessation of work by employees who participate in the strike. Employees are not required to notify the company in advance of their decision to participate or not participate in the strike.
• Participation in the strike entails the suspension of the employment contract and the loss of the corresponding remuneration.
• The legitimate exercise of the right to strike cannot be sanctioned. Any conduct constituting a breach of employment obligations will be assessed separately.
• The freedom to work of employees who decide not to participate in the strike must be respected.
• The company may not hire other people, either directly or through temporary employment agencies, to replace employees participating in the strike. Nor may it assign their duties to other members of staff for the purpose of neutralising the effects of the strike.
• During the strike, essential services must be guaranteed to protect the safety of people and property, as well as to maintain the premises, machinery and facilities, in order to enable work to resume. Employees designated to provide these services are required to perform them, regardless of whether they wish to participate in the strike.
• Employees’ right to assemble must be respected, provided that meetings are conducted peacefully and do not prevent the workplace from operating or interfere with the right to work of employees who do not participate in the strike.

Strike preparation

The company may adopt the measures necessary to ensure the safety of people and property during the strike, as well as the maintenance and preservation of the premises, machinery, facilities and raw materials, in order to enable work to resume once the strike has ended.

The determination of security and maintenance services, and the appointment of the employees required to provide them, must be addressed with the participation of the strike committee (if one is appointed) or the legal representatives of the employees, with the aim of reaching an agreement between the parties.

These services must be limited to those necessary to ensure safety, preserve the facilities and allow work to resume. They must not be used to maintain normal production activities or neutralise the effects of the strike.

Consequences of the strike

Employees who participate in the strike: exercising the right to strike entails the suspension of the employment contract for the day of the strike, without entitlement to the salary corresponding to the time not worked. The corresponding remuneration will be deducted, including the proportional amounts of salary supplements, extra payments and weekly rest periods, in accordance with the applicable rules.

In addition, during this period, employees remain registered with the Social Security system under a special status, without an obligation to pay contributions. This status may affect certain Social Security benefits, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Employees who do not participate in the strike: they retain their right to work, and their employment contracts remain in force, with full entitlement to the remuneration and Social Security contributions applicable to them.

Minimum services

As of 8 October 2026, the minimum services applicable to this strike have not yet been published. The provisions approved by the competent authorities must be consulted, particularly those published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and the Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC), regarding the essential services affected.
